Anwendung

Kalium-2-ethylhexanoat wird hauptsächlich als Salzbildner für die Synthese des Cephalosporin-Antibiotikums Kaliumclavulanat sowie als Wärmestabilisator für Kunststoffprodukte, als Katalysator für Polymerisationsreaktionen und als Vernetzungsmittel für Polymermaterialien verwendet. Kalium-2-ethylhexanoat wird als Trocknungsmittel für Harzbeschichtungen, als Katalysator für Polyurethan-Hartschaum usw. verwendet.
